A reset button on IT strategy and leadership at an environmental nonprofit

A national environmental nonprofit was experiencing business challenges due to a disjointed technology ecosystem. The organization had made substantial investments in custom software but was questioning its impact. The staff were also concerned about their capacity to effectively manage the organization’s IT, data, and technology needs.

Build helped identify the major gaps in the organization’s current information ecosystem and developed a set of prioritized recommendations for improvements. Our recommendations emphasized the need for a more robust approach to IT leadership, compliance, operations, data management, and governance, as well as an organization-wide cultural shift around technology. We presented a clear case for change, strategically framing future technology and change management investment decisions to leadership.
