Comprehensive Technology Roadmap for National Affordable Housing Nonprofit
The Story
A national nonprofit organization that seeks to improve the availability of affordable housing in rural America wanted to improve its internal operations and the constituent experience of their services. The organization provides resources such as market analysis, best practices, training and technical assistance, loans, and grants to local property developers, managers, lenders, and peer organizations across the nation. These various constituents— and the robust processes associated with them—required a more robust, integrated set of technologies than the outdated systems the organization had in place.
Build created a comprehensive multi-year technology roadmap based on an assessment of the entire organization’s processes, its existing databases, and its IT infrastructure across several locations. This roadmap showed how the organization needed to develop foundational capacities in governance, IT operations, and core productivity and collaboration tools prior to approaching a selection and phased implementation for a powerful CRM system (and integrated applications) to replace core business systems.
