Business and Technology Needs Assessment and Roadmap for National Mentoring Association
The Story
One of the nation’s largest and most established nonprofit business mentoring organizations knew that it needed to select a new cloud-based CRM to replace its proprietary web-based system. The purpose of this new tool would be to improve the onboarding of volunteers, manage the mentoring services provided to clients by volunteers, and manage events both at the national level and through over 300 chapter locations.
Build worked collaboratively with the client to perform an assessment and create a roadmap to help the organization shape its strategic direction for future technology investments, develop requirements for the new systems, and build consensus and momentum for the vision of the new solution. Over 110 stakeholders across different levels of the organization (national, region, district, chapter) were engaged to identify where improvements were most needed in policy, process, data, and technologies. Detailed process mapping for each journey were created. The assessment allowed all stakeholders to be on the same page and completely buy-in to the new solution.
